The take up spool on my ST1200 HD Magnetic only gets sluggish over the 400ft mark. It eventually stops. What should be done to correct this? The projector is otherwise fantastic!

New drive belt (the long one across top of mechanism) wipe all extraneous grease from gears and ensure take up clutch/gear is adjusted correctly.\this cured mine which struggled with a 1200ft metal spool until I did the above, perfect now though.

Thanks for that guys; but how do you get the actual belt out? It looks like other gears would prevent being able to lift the belt out. I have a spare which arrived with the machine, just a case of fitting.

Remove circlip from rearmost gear and pull off assembly. It may be a bit stiff but it does come away. Then just replace belt onto other gears pulleys.Easy!
