In my collection I have a std 8 copy of Lotte Reininger's cartoon
DOCTOR DOLITTLE IN CANNIBAL LAND (1928).After the end, there is a title in very small print, "An Anargyros Film Production, copyright 1964".Since this is the only instance I have encountered his name, and being a compatriot,I wonder if anybody knows what other titles did Mr Anargyros issue ...

Hi Panayotis,
I am not Greek, but your question piqued my interest, so I looked around a bit.
I get the impression the name is not uncommon: Google found a tobaccoist from the turn of the 1900eds, a sculptor, a lawyer and a Thomas Anargyros who is in fact involved with film (TV) today (maybe a son?)
The search landed only this library entry with the right time period:
(Quote):
"Wright brothers’ first flight". Anargyros Film Library, 1966. 4 min., si., b&w, 8 mm. Short loop film depicting the first successful powered flight by the Wright brothers, Kitty Hawk, N.C., December 17, 1903"
(End quote.)
I saw this on a site devoted to the flying legacy of the Wright brothers.
Not much, but that's all Google would reveal
Best,
Claus.

Wow Claus, good hunting for info there!
It sounds like he's an early distributor of 8mm!

If I search for "Anargyros Film Library" in quotation marks in Google I get 46 hits, nearly all of which are referring to 8mm prints of historical events.
