Hi,
Newbie to all this. Inherited 4 7" reels of 8mm standard. Just got Prinz IQ3000 GL projector, no manual. OK can load and run film.
Stupid, but once film end is out of lense how do you rewind the film back??
As I intend to digitise the film so I can edit and share with other family members, I dont want to invest more unless absolutely necessary. Is a manual rewind kit the only option?
Any help much appreciated.

Tony, welcome to the forum.
Is there no rewind function on the Prinz? (Some early Kodak projectors had nothing else but a neutral feeder arm).
What's happening when you operate the big rotary switches (lower left when you look at your machine).
Or is it broken?
The easy way around that is to switch spools.
Once you've projected your film, take the empty spool from the feeder spindle (ie front). Take the - now full - take-up spool from the take-up (ie rear) spindle, rotate it 180° so the tail of the film is "hanging" clockwise and place it on the feeder spindle. Place the empty spool on the take-up spindle. Instead of going through the threading system, bypass the projector and wind the film on the empty spool, put the projector in forward mode and it will "rewind" your film. [Wink]

Welcome to the forum!

You should be able to just take the film, thread it onto the empty reel (just take it straight from one reel, to the other, outside the machine). Thread it, then hit the rewindbutton/wheel/knob/etc.

Thanks! So simple, I'm a klutz.
The two reels have different spindle diams. so it has to be reverse across the top.
