Hello Hans,

Not a problem at all. I was out-of-town today and just returned (3:49am in New York, got to catch some sleep) I will be sending your reports this evening.

Trev,
I am sorry; I don’t have the piece you are looking for.

Hello Hans,

I sent your reviews today. I had a bit of a problem sending the entire package in one file because of its size, had to cut it in three.

Please let me know if everything came in okay.

Jon

Jon you are an absolute king among men...Thank you so much for resending the AP-8 review - It came through crystal clear this time on the other email address.

I think it confirmed my thoughts on the projector as being a top notch machine - Here is my favorite excerpt-

"Unique indeed. The only 8mm projector to do the threading first and make the loop afterwards. There will probably never be another machine quite like it."

Hi Jon,

Thank you very much for the reviews.
But I only received the second file.
Can you please send the first and thirth file again?
Perhaps these 2 files were both a little too big.

Hello Hans,

I sent the two missing files again, please let me know if they are okay. If not, I will repack them in smaller files and send them again.

Regards,

Jon

Hi Jon Addams

I am looking at obtaining a dedicated Standard 8 projector and wondered if you would be good enough to e-mail me the Movie Maker reviews of these projectors:
- Bolex 18-5L, and
- Eumig P8 Dual
My e-mail address is dit at internode dot on dot net.

Thank you

Thank you, Jon
I appreciate your prompt reply and I have received the reviews that I requested.

Unfortunately, I did not do enough research prior to making my request. I now realise that the Bolex 18-5L is a Super8 only projector. The Bolex 18-5 is a Standard 8 projector. And the Eumig P8 Dual is a more modern dual gauge projector than the Eumig P8 Standard 8 projector made in the 1960s.

May I make another request and ask which of the projectors that are in the Movie Maker reviews list are Standard 8 projectors?

Thank you again, Jon

Hello David,

I don't know how many standard 8 projectors exist, I only have reviews for the following:

Agfa Movector G
Consulmatic
Horipet (Battery Operated)
Ilford Elmo AP-8
Leisegang S1
Olympus Autoscope, and
Rexina-8

Let me know if want any of these and I will be happy to send them to you.

Thanks once again for your prompt reply Jon.

Unfortunately, none of the names on the list are familiar to me. I'll have to do some searching to see what is available here in Australia. Otherwise, I have noted brands and models mentioned by forum members that are available here so I will have a closer look at some of those.

Thanks again for your help.
