Hi,i was just wondering if anyone would be interested in a Goldeneye extract from Classic Home Cinema,i used to have a copy but sold it and now would like another copy, they need to order 4 copies to keep the costs down, they work out about £50ish per print. The Living Daylights i would also like and would also order a copy, orders are going to be September time so a bit of time,if anyone would like to order one then let me know, thanks Mark.

Curious why back in the "old" days they never released Bond extracts -- since they were UA it would have been Ken films.
Any theories? You know these would have been big sellers.

Tony,

I think the answer is simple, Albert R. Broccoli didn't want his James Bond series to get edited (digested). That's my theory.

cheers,

Hi Fabrizio,
I've mentioned to Phil about getting some of the Bond extracts re-printed and it would be great to have the 4 copies spoken for, that way he has every confidence that they will be sold.Well that's 2 copies spoken for, does anyone else want a copy? Mark.

Hi Mark,
if it's the pre-credit sequence, there's another italian collector that is interested in it.
Let me know if we have to contact Phil to confirm our interest.

Hi Fabrizio,Yes it's the opening sequence and glad that another copy is needed,i'll let Phil know but if you'd like to send him an e-mail as well that would be great...Mark.

That's good news Mark,if we go for the Goldeneye one first then see if there's enough interest for the living Daylights extract to order that ...Mark.

How much will they cost?

Hi Simon,
The price is £50ish as the lab prices have gone up since the last time they were released by CHC,well worth it though....Mark.

I , too , had been after the Goldeneye extract for a long time, and found one on Ebay just a few weeks ago..$40.00 . I was thrilled with the picture quality...just superb. Sound was mono and not very good. I sent it out to have a stereo remix done, but they let me know that the balance stripe was so bad, they couldn't get a decent recording on it...so they did a mono upgrade and it's good. Seems they were having sound stripe problems when it was first released.....so these new prints , with better striping, should yeild wonderful picture AND stereo sound.

Apparently the printers and the stripers were upgraded recently so great news on these cracking shorts.
The last bits I had were fantastic.
Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace scope trailers are in the offing too if enough of us show interest so lets show willing etc.
There`s little to touch a blast of " Bond " on real film.
Best Mark.

It would also be nice to have the first chase sequence from Casino Royale as an extract in super8.

I agree with you mark about a good Bond on the big screen, but Id rather see new prints of classic trailers and extracts. Some of my early Roger Moore trailers have faded to green. Derann sell some but not all. I would love to have the opening of Moonraker and spy-WLM on super 8 but again the difficulty is finding the negatives. I can only hope.
