I bought this awhile back assuming that it used the same bulb as my old lost Eumig P8 (they look identical except for few details).
To my shock I find that this uses a different bulb that cost $75. Is there any cheaper solution? Adaptor?

Searching, Google for example, finds many vendors of projector lamps. EBay is a possible source. Please tell us which lamp you seek.

I bought my lamps from Bart at www.bluecinetech.co.uk

They are pretty cheap [Smile]

Hi,

You probably need an A1/186, also known as a BXT.

I don't have any, but there are some on ebay in the USA for as little as $10.

The older Eumig P8 used the BXT, which is low cost. The Eumig P8m uses the Osram 588107 - A1/193. I found a source overseas for about $35 with shipping, but still alot more than the older BXT which I can find for $10. in USA. Both bulbs are 12v 100w. A1/193 is just a little larger.

This source has the very highest prices. But also the best cross reference. Perhaps there is a good substitute lamp. So keeping him in business may be important.
