Hi everyone,

My Mom and Dad have a wonderful eumig p8 phone film projector. I absolutely love it - we have enjoyed watching lots of old family reels on it. We tried to get it going the other day and the motor started, the light came on, but for some reason the reels were threading. I can't find anyone who can help us with repairs where I am - Toronto. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hi Radha,

Welcome to the Forum,,
We are always talking about these type of issues here & I hope we can help.

Not too much goes wrong with these P8 Eumigs except the rubber motor belt breaks due to old age.

Open the back by removing 1 screw at the top & then looking inside. Probably the drive belt will be loose, broken or turned to a soft goo.

If you can find a local rubber O ring seller then after cleaning off the old belt, fit a new one. They aren't too bad to fit.
A bit of lubricating spray to the moving parts may be required to restore normal speed.

Here is a pic with the back off my Eumig P8. See the belt on the far right hand side?
