Does anybody know if this is available on S8 as a full feature?

I think it was only released in a 5 X 400' reel regular 8mm black and white feature by Powell Films of the UK... I think there was a 400' digest, too... but also just black and white. I have never seen it in super 8 or in color...

Brian,

It was in fact released in Super 8 & STD 8 in both lengths, but whatever format you're looking for, this title is very hard to find.

Michael,

Brian and Barry are correct it was unfortunately only available in Black and White and on both gauges.

I had the feature length version in my collection sometime ago but sold it as I just couldn't live with a B&W version of a film I knew was made in colour (Technicolor too!) enjoyable though it was.

Good hunting [Smile]

I once saw a great colour trailer on Super 8 that a collector included in a show. I'm not certain but it may well have been on a Thuderbirds trailer reel. I must ask him again if he would consider selling it.

I have the 400ft cut down which is great fun and runs a bit like an original TV episode. I would love the feature but it does appear to be as rare as the proverbial hens teeth. However I am glad it is black and white as all the colour prints would be bright pink by now.

Thanks folks - I think I'll look out for that one on 16 then.

I have been after this for a few years, but it does not have the original Marilyn!

David,

Well there were 2 'Marilyn's' in the original TV series, so would one more really matter?

IB Tech prints do exist in 16mm.

Yes Barry, both TV versions were better!

In the 1970's here it was on each morning and I'd watch it before school. What a show to kick off the day!
