Ever notice that most sellers on eBay leave out the following critical projector specs?

- lens specification
- lamp wattage/ansi code

Many Eumigs with the same model numbers used different lamps. For example, I believe the 802 and 807 came in both 75 watt and 100 watt (EFP) models. Similarly, the Bolex 18-5L and Super had different lamps depending on when they were manufactured.

And we all know the difference between a 1.4 and 1.1 lens. Zoom vs. prime, etc. Even when they post lots of pics, the lens is almost always in a position where you can't read the specs.

Tony,

I chalk a lot of it up to ignorance of what is important in selling such a machine. (Or, conversely, the ones who put a good visual presentation on EBay go the other way and assume 'we know'.)
Like you say, I wind up asking exactly those two questions.
I find that lack of info in particular with earlier Standard-8 and Super-8 machines as many of these units were from the parents/uncles of the sellers.

Ah well, as long as one can ask them and get at least a semi-coherent answer along with a picture.... [Wink]

Claus.
