I just took my Bolex 18-5 projector out of mothballs to transfer my home movies, some dating back over 60 years, to video. The projector looks fine but I couldn't find the power cord. If anyone can help me locate a cord to power up the projector, I would be greatly appreciative.

Leon,

You're best bet might be to get a Bolex on eBay that is untested or has major issues, for peanuts, and use the cord from that one.

Your Bolex runs at 18fps...it will produce a video transfer with a rolling bar/flicker effect. You must run at 20fps to get a flickerless transfer in the NTSC system.

Is there a way to increase the film speed from 18fps to 20fps? I'm not sure how to do that.

Incresae the motor pulley diameter in the ratio of 20 to 18, or reduce the driven pulley diameter in the ratio of 18 to 20.
But you will still need some speed control to set the speed to exactly 20 fps to reduce flicker to a minimum.
