Having looked around and trying to get hold of a copy of this feature i have finally got my hands on one,
Thanks to another forum user who e mailed me to tel me that Steve Osbourne of the reel image had a copy.
Ive never ordered anything from Steve before, (& it looks as though i have well missed out over the years) without going into any details i have to say i am over the moon. As i was enquiring to ensure the order was revieved the item turned up on my doorstep from the states in just 6 days!!!!!!
As for the film, what a print,. 1st class in every way with the added bonus of a stereo soundtrack.
Many thanks for this and also the grat little booklet and leaflets that were sent with it.
Derann did a fantastic job getting this one out and with such high quality. [Wink]

Did you get a scope version, Tom?

It is stereo/scope,
i would have been happy with the flat version but having now got the full scope version i have to say they dont compare, its like watching wo different films,
you may know through this forum that just before xmas i did obtain what i thought was the marketing feature. Quality was pretty good but it had to go back due to the fact there was at least one 400ft section missing. The fact it was supplied on two 800 foot spools should have gave me clue.the dealer was brilliant and took the item back. An email a few months later informed me of the scope feature i obtained through the reel image, although i didnt want to spend too much on a copy this one came up and being dollars was a littler easier on the pocket and i am very pleased that i did, it really is a superb print and again i cannot stress to you all how good the service was from Steve.

Oh, by the way, this one was even supplied on two excellent 1600ft spools. [Smile]

That's great Tom. Was he able to give you the history of your print, who had it, and who did the re-record for the stereo tracks? I'm considering sending mine to Lance in California to have him do it. Our concern is the quality of the mag paint used on these scope prints of recent printings, if we will get a good re-record or not. Anything has got to be better than the mono track that Derann did, though. Thoughts?

Lance re-recorded my T2 print that had the grey track and it sounds great. I got it a little over a year ago now. The recording Derann did was really bad and had almost considered sending it back for a refund but thankfully didn't.

Any time I have re-recorded a Derann print, be it mono or stereo, I have always got far better quality sound fidelity.
In the case of my print of Grease, going from Derann's mono recording to my own stereo recording was literally like night and day.
