Perhaps, my question will be so funny for the GS1200 users.

I have had this projector for 2 years, but I never really use it (too heavy, too complicated). But this evening, because of some optical films I just received, like or not I have to use this heavy projector.

What make me wondering is that when the projector is turned on, there noises come out similar to motor turning while the reels are not turning.

So is this normal for a GS1200 to have that noise?

ps: I have played the optical films and it is running OK.

Yes, it's normal: what you hear is the cooling fan motor which, in stand-by mode, is also used to have the sound flywheel run, so that the film gets less stress when it gets in touch with it.
