The official manual does not indicate how to clean the lens assembly (and get at the internal elements).
As I have two identical lenses, I found I can remove the plastic knurled collar to reveal a grub screw and this allows the sliding front assembly to be completely removed. But I can't see how the black plastic aperture insert at the Gate end is held to remove. The lens assembly is recessed from the aperture plate. An ingenious design. Can anyone help or suggest an immersion method with sable brush that won't leave any residue?
