Intereting find, I'll agree. What does one do with negatives that a positive print can't be had from without having to spend 2-3 times the cost of each negative?

That is so totally freakin cool! I notice that at least one of them shows very considerable wear. I wonder if these might have been used by a lesser super 8 companies, (Niles? But then, I think they usually took off the Blackhawk title cards).

I wonder what lucky forum member won them? Not me, but I have a few thoughts on who! [Big Grin]

As there are different types of printing machine/negs, you might not be able to get them printed anyway.

Its a great shame affordable digital to super 8 is`nt generally possible to take away the need for a costly negative and source print.

Imagine what that could open up to film.

I wonder if the German labs have the only super 8 possitive release printing machines in the world now !!!

Best Mark.

Sold for $115 (4 titles) meaning aroud $30 each.

What the winner thing for these negatives? memorablia or future business.

To print those negative will end up around $50 each. Plus stripping if it is originally a sound film.

Who is going to buy $75/film nowaday? although it is a fresh print, but not rare. We can easy to get those titles from Ebay fro aorun $10-20.

John, it is very obvous that the later listings are the winner of the previous listing.

We can see on the feedback of the previous listing:

quote:

BLACKHAWK FILMS SUPER 8 LAB NEGATIVES>>Comedy Shorts (#320824619360) US $115.00 "Great product. Very fast shipping!", packy3000gt (151)

Feedback As Seller

While the later listing has a seller by the ID: packy3000gt (151)

Moreover he also says on his description:

quote:
I very recently got 4 of these lab copies for my personal Blackhawk/8mm collection and decided that I didn't need to keep all four copies. So I'm listing this one and am creating another listing with one other one.
It is quite risky to spend $115 only for memorabilia.

Good luck for him!
