To answer your question Brad, FLETCHER FIKMS operated out of
Feltham in Middlesex for a number of years. The first film I ever
got from them was "Plague of the Zombies" remember this was
before Derann released Hammer's version, what I actually got
was Ted V. Mikels "The Astro Zombies" with the lovely Tura Satana
the film was awful but the print was stunning, I actually regret
parting with it now.The only print I have of theirs is a 3x400 of
"The Lost Continent" starring Cesar Romero which was solld as
"The Lost World" for some reason.Print quality is quite acceptable as is sound,in fact much better than some Derann prints in B/W at the time.FLETCHER distributed the Scooby Doo
and Grape Ape cartoons, the Gerry Anderson UFO TV series
The Baron,The Champions,Jason King, Dept S,The Protectors
all through Techno Film but in English and they also did the
Mary Millington sex films "Come Play With Me" and "The Playbirds".The Jewel in their crown must be the Time/Life series
on WWII narrated by LIoyd Bridges but this was in COLOUR.
So they were a legitimate company and as for footage, the film
I have, the running time is between 15-17 minutes as each
spool is different.Take on board that a lot of companies at that
time were reducing footage, Derann did it on their 4x4s and
Mailmaster(Mountain) were taken to court fot it!The only UK
Distributors that gave a good full spool were WALTON FILMS
POWELL FILMS and IVER FILM who sometimes tried to prove
500' would fit on a 400' spool as in the case of their release of
"TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE".Dave West also gave well filled
spools on his releases.Hope that clarifies the query.

Thank you for the info. Now I can make a more informed decision whenever considering bidding on any Fletcher titles. Much appreciated.
