I never knew Eumig had produced a Xenon machine. Has anyone here ever owned one:

Wow Michael, I had no idea that Eumig had ever made a xenon projector! I have never seen this before. Was it perhaps a prototype for the Photokina show that never made it into production? Looks like the xenon power supply could not be integrated into the machine and had to be put in that big external base. Whatever its a great looking machine, as all the 800 Eumigs are. A xenon version of the 938/940 stereo, to compete with the Elmo GS1200 Xenon, was probably on the drawing boards when Eumig folded.

Even though this projector is called xenon, it looks from the specs like it would use an EZM Marc 300 lamp, which has been described as a metal or mercury arc. This lamp only had a life of 25 hours before it was at 50% brightness. A later lamp, the EZG, raised this to 75 hours and was used in the B&H 1568 16mm projectors, which had an internal solid state power supply. Still, it's an interesting picture and concept.
