I just bought this on ebay for 9.99. It was sold as. It stated in the auction it had a loud squeel when turned on. I decided to take a chance. Shipping was 12.95. Well, I'm glad I did. The noise turned out to be a lose drive pulley on the motor shaft. All the belts are good. To me, this is the quietest dual 8mm projector I have ever had. Features are forward, lamp on, stop, reverse, lamp on. The other knob is slo-mo and still. Then of course, focus, frame etc. It also includes film cutter, and the best part, a telescope lens. This is in terrific cosmetic condition. But I was really amazed at how smooth it runs. This to me is a quality projector with a lot of great features. Oh yes, and variable speed control, perfect for transfers. A nice looking projector that I will probably keep for a long time.

Is it easy to clean the gate?
Examining the aperature/gate path at the base plate (opposite the pressure plate)..is there a flexible/spring guide or spring pins to allow for micro-variations in film width ?

HI Tom

Very easy. When it's in the stop mode the gate is actually open. Making it an easy clean. I posted a couple of pics for you.
