How do I correct silent non-striped film from suffering the jumps & jitters on a sound projector? This seems to happen no matter what projector I use. I own 3 Chinons and I get the same problem on all of them.

Put it pn Prozac! [Big Grin] Are you running at the slower speed? [Confused]

I didn't know this phenomenon occurs only in sound projectors. Anyone knows why?

I've tried it on both speeds with all 3 machines and I always get the same result.

It's an odd problem - I don't think it generally happens with Elmos. Have you tried using something like Filmrenew or Film Guard, as they usually deal with film jitter?

If you have a film-o-clean and use film guard it will never happen again..trust me I have mostly silent films and sound projectors....

"Green film" may do this. I use Derann Liquid Film Cleaner to fix the problem, I've always been satisfied. BTW I tried to buy one last big supply of LFC from Derann before it closed but they never returned my query. I might use other products if I were 100% positive I could get similar results, but I'd like to know if anybody here knows its formula or whether somebody took over manufacturing it. Thanx

I have FilmRenew. I'll try that first.
