Yes I knew it is the same bulb for car.

But I visited Walmart and other stores, nowadays the same bulb size is 12v, 13.5v and nothing is 6v.

So where I can buy this kind of bulb locally. Buying from Ebay is my last resort because I try to avoid shipping cost.

thanks for you input.

Hi Jim,

That's great!. I sent you a PM.

BTW, since you are in auto part business, can you give me a clue why big retailers do not stock that bulb anymore.

I know that bulb: it's actually a motorcycle bulb, but was an automotive bulb before cars went to 12V systems.

With all the stuff they are putting in cars these days they say it may be needed to go to 24 or 48V someday. The catch? 24 or 48V lamp filaments would need to be proportionately longer and that would make them less vibration proof.

-the whole thing may hinge on better LED lighting.

my guess is the big box hardware stores do not like to mess around with obsolete items or hard to find ones? kinda like most big box retailers do not carry allot of belts or even certain screws that you can find at your mom and pop stores which are slowly disappearing. i got 2 bulbs for the price of one.
