What do owners of the Eumig 824 think of the little up/down switch which not only controls the mains voltage input (on & off) but also in the "off" position locks the main control knob?

I can see no point in the latter, nobody would expect to operate the projector in any function unless the motor was running.

With regard to the above paragraph, non-users of Eumigs may not be aware that as soon as they are plugged in, or on later machines, switched on, the motor starts immediately.

i actually like it as a master on off switch as sometimes, when i am running a bunch of films throughout the day I can just flip that switch instead of having to remember ti unplug it all together.
