Metal chain belts driving plastic gears....is it recommended to grease the belt? I thought it might quieten them and possibly extend the life of the belt.
Internal springs.... is a spray lubricant useful to keep them "springy"?

Chain belts. Lubricate lightly with grease.
Internal springs. Apply a little sewing machine oil.

With plastic gears, use white lithium grease or a synthetic like Superlube.
