Hello,

today i've done the 24V 250W conversion on a Elmo ST-1200D. Using
an external transformer and a 24V/250W ELC for 16mm projectors.

I can't see a difference between 15V 150W and 24V 250W. I found a forum where someone stated that the ELC
bulb must replaced 10mm back in the lamphouse on an GS. So i tried that on my ST. Can't see any difference in lightoutput on my 2m x 2m screen ...

Am i doing something wrong or is the difference so small that i can't see it? [Roll Eyes]

I don't think you are doing anything wrong, even my 100watt on a ST180 projector looked brighter than the dim 200watt EJL on the GS1200. So I am not sure that its all down to wattage for a brighter picture.

However in saying that, is the lamp getting the full 24 volts?
Another thing I would recommend is using the Osram Xenophot 24volt/250watt ELC lamp.

It's getting the full 24V and it's a Osram 64653 HLX ELC 24V/250W Xenophot. The datasheet says the bulb has a working distance of 35mm, so i think i've set the distance from bulb to gate correct.

It might be as you said, at that screen size its not showing you the difference. I would zoom it out to say eg eight foot and try a comparison between the 150watt against the 250watt once again...it might be worth a try.

I do use the 250watt Osram Xenophot myself in my GS1200 and its certainly a much brighter and whiter lamp.

Mhhh ... at 24V there is no difference compared to 150W in my eyes. But if i use 25-27V the picture is MUCH brighter than before. The transformer should give me 300W at 24V. Maybe it gives lesser?
