I recently got this Eumig 1.0 lens but the very rear element has some fungus/haze. So I need to remove it and clean it. I noticed the 2 dimples in the rear so I bought myself a nifty lens wrench. I tried to turn the rear metal plate counter-clockwise to remove it. I took a little bit to break it loose. Once I did I thought it would be simpler after that. But unfortunately it only turns about half a turn before it gets extremely hard to turn again (that part in between I could easily move it with my fingers). I've tried turning it both ways but I can't get it to go any further (and I can get some pretty decent leverage with this wrench). Does anybody have and advice or suggestions before I break it [Big Grin]

Or should I just keep trying what I'm doing? Thanks.

I'm not familiar with your lens, but it may be necessary to disassemble it from the front to get at the rear element, like the Elmo 1.0... If you do, keep note of the order of pieces so you can put it back together correctly....

Once you take the front off, you can see the way it's put together and you can take one piece at a time until you reach the damaged lens, only then you will know if its cleanable or not. Some time the damaged lens needs to be tossed and replaced.
