Hi,
when I rewind film on the projector it takesup the film the wrong way,to put it back on the reel it should rewind anti-clockwise...but it rewinds clockwise.I tried looping the belt (to a figure 8) but that must slow it down? Or am I wrong?
Thanks all from New Zealand [Confused]

Don't things spin backward down south of the equator? [Big Grin] I think you may need to make a twist in the spring belt, Google some of the images of the projector to get a view of the back, that may help.

The Eumig P8 is a strange beast.
The film feeds from the back of the spool so the spool turns anti-clockwise, therefore when it rewinds the top spool runs in a clockwise direction.

Yes I remember that situation, when I owned a P8 back in the 1950's. Maurice is absolutely correct about the film coming off the back of the feed arm, and not the front which is what we are all used to. So there is nothing wrong with Clinton's projector.

lots of spare parts for these advertised on e bay UK at the moment for anyone interested. Parts even include a decent spare used main motor.

Hi all, yes I read that projector can let the full reels feed from front or back......great unless ALL your standard 8 films turn clockwise....twisting the spring belt is the answer [Smile] even though it looks wrong [Confused]
