Haven't used this projector for a while, but worked last time,IIRC.
But now when I run a movie, the film travels through the machine fine, but the take-up reel on the bottom seems to outrun the sprockets. And within a few seconds the film is tight between the bottom sprocket and take-up reel and either snaps the film or makes the film start jumping the teeth on the sprocket.
So I took the cover off the sprocket gears and cleaned out the old grease and re-greased the gears, but that made no difference at all.
There were no loose gears or problems I could find. Since they all run off of the worm gear from the motor, I'm just not sure how the bottom take-up reel got out of synch with the others.
Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.

The problem will be with the take-up, not the drive sprocket. The take-up reel should slip when the film gets to a certain tension between the sprocket and take-up reel. If it doesn't then you have the problem you describe.
