Good Evening,

A couple of days ago, i found two boxes of vintage movies reels. Honestly, i have no clue what they are, if they are rare or old any value.....

When i opened some metalic covers, some had original movie posters in them.....

I found a man near my place who's got a projector, he is coming tomorow to view all the collection...

From the search i did yesterday and today, the Elvis comeback film and the TAMI show seems to be rare but i might be completelly of the track....

lmk what you think plz...

Here's a list of titles and a few pics...

The value of your films depends on their condition. Are they complete? Are there any splices, scratches, or other damage, etc.? Quality of the color (in the color films). Is the color faded to pink or red? How is the sound?
I hope your friend has a decent projector that won't damage the films, if they aren't already....

Hope they are in decent condition because you have potentially valuable stuff there.
Cheers

I have seen the TAMI show for sale on smaller reels that would only be portions of the whole show. There are a few on eBay right now. It looks like someone may have spliced them together to get the whole show (or most of it) on one reel. Hopefully it's has sound. The James Brown performance is amazing, possibly one of his best. You can read about it in the article below.

The Possessed: James Brown in Eighteen Minutes

This is the James Brown performance, worth a watch.

Heard a story that James Brown was originally pegged to close the show but after the producers got The Rolling Stones he was relegated to second last act. His protest was in the form of giving a show that no one could follow... and that he did.

Cheers

I never saw that performance. Wow! What a unique entertainer he was. Incredible and so original. I guess thats why so many copy him.

Alain, you have valuable Super 8 films there, they are not rare but, they are scarce and highly collectible. Sell them on ebay and you will get what the market is willing to pay for them -- music and horror always do very well. Collectors on this forum would also buy the films if you don't want them and the posters, should you decide to list here.

You can list them individually to get the most money, sell them all together as a lot to one buyer for a good price or keep them, and get into film collecting. You can always use the films as bargaining chips to trade to other collectors. Once you see film projected you kinda get hooked.
