Elmo ST180 screening Star Wars Japan, it's so strange seeing the subs running down the right hand side of the picture, plus it's more obtrusive (should have cleaned the gate)...

That's not unusual, Clinton. Several super 8 films I have have an English sound and French subtitles. In the Belgian and French cinema most of the films are shown in original version with subtitles while on tv it is almost always dubbed (but with modern technology you have sometimes the choice to Watch the original version with subtitles).
