Ok I live in a hot and humid country and was wondering if to buy a wine fridge / cooler for my 8mm storage? It would mean I can control the temp? Any thoughts?

Not unless you can control the moisture hitting the film Daniel!

I've heard of similar activities involving stretch wrapping the film or placing it in sealed food bags etc etc but what is really needed is a dry cool dark place for your films around 10 degrees celsius if possible.

I have heard that most wine coolers use fan and that they are low humidity

Then it should be fine Daniel for your needs, just not an everyday fridge! [Wink]

Buy a big one, this hobby soon gets out of hand as I am currently experiencing!!

I would add be careful when taking the film out. As it is cold it will get covered in condensation, so air tight containers and leaving the film in them to warm up before projecting would be essential.
