It's been a while since I've posted, but I've encountered another problem I need assistance with.

I bought a Eumig Mark S 802 projector at an estate sale. I already have an Elmo ST-600M, but thought a backup couldn't hurt.

The Eumig seems to function great with the exception of no sound. I don't see an on/off switch for the sound, just a volume button. I've downloaded the manual, but it doesn't offer much regarding sound playback. Playing around with the red record button on the back, I did get some pops out of the speaker. There's a knob to the right of the volume numbered 1,2,3,4, but that doesn't seem to do anything and I couldn't find any information about it in the manual.

The manual does mention an "N-S" switch which seems related to switching between Super-8 and Single, but I don't even see that switch on my projector.

Any help is appreciated. I have another question, but I'll post that as a separate topic.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom. Looking at the pictures of a Mark S 802 it looks very similar to the 810d. If yours is a dual 8 machine you do indeed have a N-S switch. You will see it if you take the metal cover off. Like when you need to change gate and sprockets. You may find that it is switched to the wrong gauge and moving it to the correct one solves your problem. I have myself forgotten to move the swith when changing gauges and wondered why there was no sound. By the way, when you change gauges, make sure you turn the knob on the rear of the machine so that the red dot is in the vertical position before and move the lens fully forward before removing the gate pieces. If you don't you are likely to break off the single claw pin. best wishes ken Finch. [Smile]

Thanks Ken, I'll take another look for that switch.
