Pinedene Films closed in 2012 but some family members appeared to be selling of stock see attached thread.

They could genuinely be in business for years because the stock was so vast. I went to his premises on two or three occasions and you had to see it to believe it. Mr Smith was a compulsive buyer so however much he sold, the stock kept increasing! In the end it got harder to sell as there were so many films everywhere that it must have been practically impossible to reach much of it. Ironically, Mr Smith had a table at a few Tadley Big Screen Time events and he never took much film there!

If he had held a closing down sale by somehow transporting all the stock to a public hall, it would have been the biggest 8 & 16mm film sale ever seen in the UK!

The company was dissolved on the 2nd october 2012. I had dealings with Mr. Smith just a few years ago but found him a bit abrasive!!

So is it known if the family have finished selling the stock? If so, I'm amazed that they managed to do it without a lot of advertising and conspicuous effort!

The only references I can find after 2012 is that Pinedene Films where the source of a lost episodes of Dr Who and The Likely Lads on fan forums. Andrew Wayne Smith (born 1961) is named as a director of Pinedene Video Films Ltd and Pinedene Films on 31 March 2015. He is also described as being a marine engineer. He owned 20% of Pinedene with Wally Smith (born 1932) owning 80%. Valerie Smith also born 1932 was also named as a director from 1992 to 2012. Company is declared as dissolved. I would guess stock is being sold off privately or may be turning up on eBay.

I`m sure I spoke to the chap there in 2014/15. We was quite unwell so getting friends in odd days to help out.

Certainly after 2012.

Best Mark.
