I am finally transferring over audio from Super 8 film from reel to reel tapes (shot trains with 'wild sound' but I have one that I had transferred to 8mm full coat and don't have the original tape . . will it play on a R to R recorder? I'm thinking not due to difference in speed . . (think I have answered my own question!). Any other method off exporting from the full coat? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

If you were to transfer digitally you could adjust the speed afterwards.

That's a great idea . . . using Final Cut Pro so shouldn't be an issue . . . which brings up the automatic question . . . "why didn't I think of that" . . . [Smile]

Thanks Stuart !

If it was recorded on a full coat film recorder it will play, if on a projector there may be trouble lining up the head to the track. It may read but have bad signal:noise ration due to low signal and hiss from unrecorded oxide passing the head.
