I just changed the bulb in my MInette and for some reason (bulb is very bright before I put the black cover back on the bulb housing and it is very dim. Tried adjusting the three screws but I'm not sure what I did to get this far dimmer screen. Have changed the bulbs before with no issues. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Also what is the difference between Single 8 and Regular 8 mm film . . one and the same. I have a dual 8 Fujica tape splicer but the regular 8 film won't fit in the sprocket holes . . . thanks again

Single 8 was Fuji's response to Kodak's Super 8 I think.

Found the answer . . hard to adjust the three bulb adjustment screws with the lamp housing off (too bright). So I removed the housing and I taped a piece of cardboard above the bulb when lit, and then was able to adjust the three screws until the entire screen became adjusted to its normal brightness!

The polyester base of Single 8 is thinner than that of Super 8, so you can get more film on a given size reel.
