I recently saw a listing for a release by Thunderbird Films called "The Devils". It's a Super-8 color, sound film but the seller had no other knowledge of the content. Is this possibly the Oliver Reed film from the early 1970's? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

I wish i could help, but I'm kind of at a loss.

One of the problems is, to avoid copyright issues, a lot of companies like thunderbird Films, would change the original titles to a film, in order to get it to pass under the nose of the copyright holders. If that is the actual title, I'm still at a loss. [Frown]

If Oliver Reed is in the film it is the Ken Russell 1971 horror movie

Thanks everyone for the replies. The seller has no clue as it was bought as part of a collection and they have no further information on the reel.

If this is a 600ft reel,it is an interview with Ken Russell promoting the film. I have it and it is most interesting.

I've been wondering the same. The seller never responded to my inquiry though. Glad you got some sort of reply!

I went ahead and purchased it from the eBay seller. At under $10, it's worth taking a risk on IMO. Once it arrives and gets screened, I'll report back on it.

This is a 20 minute featurette that includes great behind the scenes footage with an interview with Ken Russell while in the back of his car driving around London. It also shows him in the studio working on the musical soundtrack. If you are a Ken Russell fan this is a must have reel. I think the color on all the prints is a bid faded but not too bad. And at under $10 it's the deal of the year!

Thanks for the info Brian. I'm a fan of behind the scenes and the making of films. Ken Russell was a unique filmmaker so I'm looking forward to this reel.

... and BING!!! Douglas is the lucky man at a bargain price! Let's hope that the color is stellar as well, which makes it even more of a bargain!

Crikey ... The Devils.
I remember seeing this one on its first release in an ABC cinema
in Aberdeen Scotland.

This film was banned in the UK by certain local city/town councils. So not everyone got a chance to see it.
