Here is an excellent video and discussion of the Kenner Easy Show toy projector which was marketed in the 1960's and 70's_ every kids dream Christmas toy.

Makes me wonder how bright it would be with LEDs in place of the old bulb - and how long those 3 D cells would last then.

I had the earlier Give-A-Show projector which showed a slide strip you simply pulled through horizontally one frame at a time. Crude but it was still fun at the time. Biggest problem for me was I only ever had the film strips which came with the projector.
