Was given a Rollei SL 86. Runs fine with only two AAs, except the meter is stuck at f22 (no separate battery for meter). Suggestions for troubleshooting most welcome and much appreciated.

I confess that I have never used this camera, but I am aware that the film exposure ASA is set by the appropriate notch on a Super 8 cartridge.
It is possible that the camera cannot access its exposure setting unless a cartridge is fitted.
