I need both Super & Regular 8mm Film Splicer(s) + Kodak cement / Presstapes:
1. Can anyone recommend me a good brand / shop to buy them online?
2. What's the best (over time) way to glue films together, cement or presstape?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

As you live in the Netherlands, you should contact Van Eck Video Services for your needs. Edwin, I am sure, would be delighted to help you.
Using cement for film joining is the best for long time keeping, however, the modern types of film stocks cannot be joined with this method. They must be joined with tape.

Hi Maurice,

Thank you for your link to and even for a vendor in The Netherlands. That's just great.

I remember our father used the 'old' cement techninque for the joints, so I think all joints of our 8mm film archive are created with them, but I'll have to check that to be sure.

Cheers
