I know many rave about the Bauer projectors. I'm looking for opinions on the Bauer T180? Range of costs in running condition?

Its the 500/600 series that tend to be raved about Janice, mostly because their film path is just so kind to film.
I don't know about the 180,it may be fine, though I think it may only be a single sprocket,so not as good in that respect.

Yes.
The model shown does not have a feed sprocket. The film is pulled off the spool by its claw.
My opinion is to steer clear of this particular model.

I agree wholeheartedly with what Maurice and David are saying here Janice.

While it will still be a very nice, quiet(ish) machine in this case, I purchased years back now a T192 which is more of a specialist machine used back then for educational and training purposes as it features magnetic and optical sound replay and a 150w lamp but only a 600ft reel capacity and a single rear sprocket.

They work ok for what they are, just as an Agfa Sonnector (Bauer manufactured) does likewise, but while ever you have no top sprocket the projection running standards renowned from any of the Studio Class models, will be far away from the performance of this model here or other models like those I mention here.

The T192 and T180 physically, look almost identical btw.
A later bluish grey cast coloured cased T525 / 610 are the ones to try to find if you possibly can.
Older models of these tend to have black casings.

I was interested in this projector because the specs show it's a dual format sound machine. It changes gauges by a switch unlike my Eumig 810D where I have to swap gates.

I appreciate the feedback and will let this one pass. Thanks guys!

Janice, I have no experience of this particular projector, but I do have a single sprocket projector, the Eumig 926GL, and I can tell you that this machine works fine for reels up to 400ft, but 600ft reels become unsteady after the first 400ft of film passes through. For this reason I do not like single sprocket machines.
