My father was so dumb to keep our S8 films in a gazebo, in a box, ON THE FLOOR.
Because of the heavy rain the floor was flooded.
When he found out, he put the filmrols to dry.
When I received them, I took the reals out and put them saperate in an open box on a dark place, and they have been there for 2 years or so.
Now I was watching 2 of the survived films, but the best are in the pile of fungus/mold.
Now, completely dry.

Is there any way to save some of this film?
Soaking or leave it in some chemical bath, for a few day's, or sevaral threadments?

I don't care if it takes me a week for each film.
Maybe I loose the sound, but save some footage?

Please please please, is there an expert who has the knowledge?

Using film cleaner(with lubricant type)should help removing fungus/mold somewhat. The lubricant would help smoothing out the film when running tru the projector. Make a copy fo the surviving reels with the methid of your choice. Off-the-wall telecine or professional 2k transfer, whatever.
