Hello all, I wouldn't be asking about this if I found precedent in old posts but I have a few films I'm offering to another collector and neither of us know the value of these. I've had them for so long that I don't recall what I paid or if they have appreciated or depreciated with time.

Any input on what others think is a fair price would be much appreciated. Looking for prices based on them being in great condition. Ball park guesses are fine but I'd prefer not to get caught up on nuances. I'm looking for general areas and we can arrive on final price later:

Revenge of the Jedi teaser // scope // low fade
SW Special Edition Trailer // scope // low fade
Episode I // scope // German titles on low fade acetate
Episode II // scope // German titles on low fade acetate
King Kong (1976) trailer // scope // low fade
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (200 ft) cartoon // flat // low fade
Dr. No Trailer // flat // CHC release

Ernie ...

I have seen "Revenge of the Jedi" go for as much as 80.00 dollars, just for that trailer alone, any STAR WARS trailer you could easily get at least 24.50 or more ... they never loose they're value UNLESS they are not on low fade film stock, then, they'll go for much less. Thosde other trailers, like Dr. No, I wouldn't let go for less than 20.00 each, judging by the current value i see these specific trailers getting on ebay.

One thing is for sure, do not let this guy, whether friend or not, attempt to get these trailers for mere dollars each, as I'm betting that they might well KNOW they're real value. [Smile]

Thanks for the feedback! Offering these to a collector that is new to film so he may not know the values. Anything he passes up on I will likely list here.

If he passes on Rudolph, Ernie, I'd take it please for more than a fair price in the condition you state.

Just let me know in the future please Ernie, either way thanks.

Hi Ernie,

For the past two years, I have seen the Star Wars original trilogy features on Super 8 sell for $800-$1000 on Ebay. I think though that the prequels would sell for lower prices on Ebay.

OH! I was assuming "Episode 1 and 2" were trailers! If these are the features, you potentially have a cool thousand or more for each one! Awesome!!!!!

I assumed trailers as well. Were Episode I & II released as features?

Just for the record...I saw that Ernie is now offering the Episode 1 and 2 trailers for trade. They are not the features.
