Hello,

I am seeking a manual for the 8mm Elmo FP-A (the A could refer to Australia - any other country is fine) as I have an urgent copying job and the film keeps bunching up - I've marked on the image where it collects. I have checked for inclusions or anything blocking the path but can't find anything. I'm not too familiar with film projectors, so I'm feeling my way forward.

Welcome to the Forum Rebecca! First off...What type of film are you using...Std. 8 or Super 8mm? The upper and lower feeder sprockets must be adjusted properly depending on the film gauge. If set for the wrong gauge the film will jam.

Raise the clear plastic sprocket guides. Setting the gauge is just a matter of toggling the upper and lower sprocket shafts. The upper sprocket should be pushed in for Super 8 film where as the lower sprocket pushed in for Std. 8mm. Don't forget to lower the plastic sprocket guides back into position before threading the film.

Here's the page from the Owners Manual showing how to adjust the sprocket shafts. Sometimes the sprocket shaft can be hard to push. Turn the inching knob on the side of the projector to free it up to push in more easily.

Please PM me your email address and I'll send you the complete manual.
