I was given this today. With it's carry case and mains lead.
No belts for the take up and the lamp has no silver left.
I did fire it up and it ran.
Not sure what to do with it, I have no standard 8 film.
What a lovely little thing. 1958. German.

I would shine it up and put it on display in your home. This projector is really a beautiful piece of mechanical design art.

These are neat little machine...I have two of them. FYI, The clear plastic autoload guide that covers the sprockets is removable. Just pull it off. For a reel arm belt a large O ring of the appropriate length will work, as will a rubber binder. The belt is used for take-up and rewind. It goes from the reel pulley down down to the little knobs on the front and rear of the projector.

I found about the auto load being removable from a youtube video, but thanks for the heads up.
I'm torn between it sitting there as a cute ornanment, throwing some money at it for a new lamp and belt from the Van Eck website or just selling it on....
Couldn't resist showing a couple of photos of it...
I'm due to pick up another two projectors this weekend for free, so I shall be swimmning in the things soon.
Hopefully a sound super 8 coming my way.... I will kepp you posted and ask for help if I get caught out

They are pretty unusual and fetch a pretty good price if you were to list it on Ebay.
