However, note that the gentleman does not know about the loop size needed. He has laced a Super 8 film and being guided with the guide for the standard/regular 8 film which uses a larger loop than the Super 8.

The Super 8 guide is shown more to the left and provides a much shorter loop.

The film lacing as shown will not give the correct separation for the picture to sound and therefore the sound will be out of sync with the picture.

I used to have a S 710D. It has automatic threading but you must keep the threading latch at the front of the machine pressed until the film reaches the take up reel otherwise it will chew up the film. When changing the gates, you must ensure that the red spot on the inching knob at the rear of the projector is in the 12 o'clock position to avoid damaging the claw. I run a S 712D now which is the model shown in the video.
