Picked up a vintage Compco Projector Table Model 871. I've never seen one before! The table has several outlets which come in handy for plugging in various accessories. It even has a nifty little light one can use when using the projector, etc. I may repaint that 70's wood grain, not sure I'm a fan of that ha!

Looks good Shane! Are those legs stronger than they look? Is there any weight limit written on it? A nice find [Smile]

Hi Joe, yes those legs seem pretty strong. Held together with large screws. I won't be using it for anything larger than my Elmo FP8-C. I've tugged on it, picked it up a few times and it's strong so no worries. Well balanced as well.

Really nice find Shane! If it also had a built in audio mixer, it would be even better! I love the idea of the light built in...

I wouldn't restore/paint it, it looks GREAT as is!

Hi Matt, your probably right I should just leave the table as is. Here's a closer view of the controls. Basic but functional.

It's in wonderful shape!

It's like 45 years ago somebody was saying "What should I get George for his birthday?", and George never used it.

(Still beats getting a tie!)

I've seen these on sale years ago in the Blackhawk Films catalog and did not think anything about them.

Seeing this up close now, I want one too!

Real cool. [Cool]

I picked up a Bell & Howell table with a plug in for a room light and the projector not as fancy as yours.

Steve I don't think this was ever used! For one thing it takes some time to get the legs on correctly, and lined up so the bolts go through properly. I can see myself using this table quite a bit. And yes if George got this for his birthday he certainly never used it....Ha! I really like the fact I can plug the projector into the built in outlet. Plus if I ever wanted to mount a clamp type lamp I have the room switch which is a nice feature.
It's funny I never really thought much about a projector table. Now that I have this, I'm thinking how did I not have one!
So I went back and looked at the assembly instructions and found a date for 1965. So this is much older than I originally thought it was. It was also advertised for other uses as you'll see in the photo below.

Holly crap, I used to own one (or one pretty darn near like it, mine was a Compco) back when I lived in the Detroit area in the late 1970's to early 1980's. I don't remember what happened to it, maybe got lost when I moved back to Ohio.
