So I just purchased what I feel is a rather rare projector! The Canon Cine Projector T-1. Marketed in 1972 as a high-end unit. I haven't received it yet as it's coming from overseas.
Specs look really good too!
Plays both Standard 8 and Super 8mm.
lens: Canon PS f: 1.0 mm \ F: 17-28 mm
lamp: 150 W, 21 V, EJM / EJV
Does anyone have one of these and what are your impressions? That Canon F 1.0 mm lens sounds intriguing.

Thanks Leonard! I did see Van Eck's page on this projector. I've been hunting online for a replacement belt but can't seem to find anyone who sells one. I guess the rarity of this machine doesn't help. I have discovered the Canon Cine P-400 seems to be it's closest relative. There is a belt for this machine so I may inquire with Van Eck to see what he thinks. https://www.van-eck.net/itable.php?lang=en&size=0&cat=film&merk=28&type=Cine%20Projector%20P-400

150 Watt lamp and f1.0 lens should produce a very bright picture Shane [Smile] . And of course Canon are renowned for their lens quality so I imagine the picture will be very sharp with great contrast as well.

Hi Paul,
Those are my thoughts as well! I have a Canon Standard 8 movie camera that has a great little lens on it. I'm surprised this projector, with those kinds of specs, doesn't appear to be widely talked about, or even mentioned. Canon has a page about this machine in the link I provided above but not much else online. I assume the projector wasn't produced for a long period?
