What I'd like to find is the long lost Chuck Jones era Tom and Jerry in super 8 sound. I believe that there were two "Chuck era" Tom and Jerry's, one of which is "Purr Chance to Dream" which also has the disticntion of being the very last theattrical Tom and Jerry, and I have that one, but I think that there were one or two others, but I can't remember the titles.

If one of the title;s is "The Cat Above and the Mouse Below:, Id be tickled pink to find that one, as that one was the best of the Chuck era T & J

can anybody offer any info on this?

As far as I know Pecos Pest, Downhearted Duckling, The Midnight Snack,Part Time Pal are not available in super 8mm unless they are from Film Office or another company. I have Trap Happy, but it's not for sale. These pop up on 16mm LPP but are very pricey. One of these days I will finish my review of the ones I have. I will have to link it to my site as it would take up too much room on here.

I aboslutely love Tom and Jerry, which for a time was banned from being screened by the BBC here in the UK as 'too violent and cruel'???
I'm sure others have all the titles but I have the following T&J films from Walton (all original boxed in col/snd sup8)
Jerry and the Goldfish
Dr Jekyll and Mr Mouse
Saturday Evening Puss
Tennis Chumps
Cat Fishin'
The Mouse Comes to Dinner
Posse Cat
and of course Anchors Aweigh with Gene Kelly and Jerry Mouse. And I must say that this animated sequence which was all optical (no CGI)is absolutely perfect, even to the point of Jerry Mouse crossing IN FRONT of Gene Kelly and this from a film some 65 plus years old!

It is well worth your time (if you have a scope lense) to get the Cineavision scope Tom and Jerry's. While they were printed on eastman color stock, most have held thier color very well.

Also, they are in the perfectly square "window boxing", giving you the full actual scope image, which is great as the the Derann scope releases they didn't do that too, so your actually losing some of the image info on both the top and bottom.

Also, some of the Cineavision scope Tom and Jerry's are only found in scope on Super 8. I have the two box sets (on laserdisc) of all the MGM Hanna barbera era Tom and Jerry's, and "Pet Peeve" (on volume 2, which contains, supposedly, all the scope Tom and Jerry's ... ha!) (one of the early scope Tom and Jerry's) was released on volume two as a flat version, while the Cineavision print is in scope! As far as I know, super 8 is the only "media format" that you can see the origonal scope version of this funny toon!

Though they continued to release Tom and Jerry's in both scope and flat, the art, gags and design were made for the scope format, which is why these same cartoons, though released in flat versions, do not "read" as well, gag wise.

Jim...I have a copy of Lonesome Mouse from Red Fox in the original box and the print quality is excellent. The color is perfect...it has some wear (few light lines) but that's all.

Sorry it's not for sale but I thought you might like the info.
