Good lkuck on finding a print. It took me years to find my print, but it was well worth it!

Is this print very rare, then?

The last time I saw this was on Ricky Daniels' list and went for 500 pounds. A 16mm print showed up but was on 79 Fuji which is not low fade but it didn't look bad. Our very own Doug Meltzer has a print. I know. I 'stupidly' sold it to him. At the time, I wasn't set up for scope and needed the money and sold it. Oh well. Another will show up eventually. And yes it is pretty rare.

Oh, the shame, the remorse, the guilt I've felt in the nine plus years since I bought Larry's print. I'm sure I'll get over it someday!

Thewre there Doug, it will be alright.

Ya see Lee, Doug and I (and many other fellow collectors) belong to a support group of film collectors that, though we are happy to own such rare prints, we have remorse for our fellow collectors and feel great sorrow and guilt and ...

awww! who am I kidding?!

I do hope you find one. One thing for certain, all of these Derann Alien features are on low fade stock and a part of those "golden years" of Derann releases.

Beware that some prints are better than others. There is a marked difference between both my copies with the first run print being superior to the later one.

Yes..I had been looking for Alien for years..and finally got very lucky...got a really sharp nice stereo print about three years ago....price was 250 dollars. a very good bargain...lucky bargain. I may be mistaken about the price...could have been 300 , but I don't think so. Still on its original reels and original box.

Good spot Paul.

But I am just wondering, since Lee is lookig for a scope print while this seller says;

quote:
"Stereo sound presented in a 16X9 aspect ratio. You do not require a special lens to view this film."
were there two types of print released by Derann?

Paul and Winbert,

the film the seller offers is not the first film Alien by Ridley Scott.

It is the second one Aliens from the director James Cameron, Both titels are released by Derann, but Aliens was not a CS film, so the super 8 Version is also letterboxed.

Beautiful print though. I saw that auction. Nice screenshots that display the full range of colors. I wonder which film stcok it was aon. Always go for AGFA if the film was on AGFA or LPP.
