Do you know of these: http://www.ebay.com/sch/Film-/63821/i.html?_nkw=them+thar+hills&_catref=1&_trk sid=p3286.c0.m1538 ?

Are the prices high? Not Super 8mm?

The prices are middling. The fact that they are R8 may not keep them low either. A lot of people swear by Blackhawk R8 prints.

Great film!

"Da da daaa da da daaaa da da YADA!...

...POM-POM!!"

For some reason my kid keeps singing this!

Akshay,
Thanks for the links but the first one from junebug is the wrong format it's standard 8mm not super 8mm & I had to send it back to her. The other one is standard and too high priced and the other one has a fuzzy picture issue.

Thanks,
Roger [Frown]

One will turn up its just a matter of time if you sign up for that title on eBay, eBay will send you a link every time that title shows up just type in THEM THAR HILLS in the search engine on eBay’s home page then slide over to the all categories next to that and slide down to DVD's and movies then click search, next to the number of search results it will ask you to save search click on that another window will pop up asking you to email that title to you daily, click save and let eBay do the work for you. Good luck!

Akshay thanks for the lead on the film but with shipping and the film price it's comes to around $45.00 which is pretty steep don't you think? For the price of the film he should at least throw in the shipping for free! [Frown]

Thanks,
Roger

roger most of super8movieman's films are new or near new tha tis kind of steep I am sure another one will pop up it may just take time and lot of patience.

Roger, I think the price is on the higher side. Features from the same era sell for similar prices on this forum. Why do you need this particular short? Is it that good?

From Paul Foster's current list:

THEM THAR HILLS (B/W) 1X400 £24.99. Laurel and Hardy classic comedy. Original Blackhawk box.

Hi Roger,

I've just looked into a box of former library prints and this title could be there. I'll let you know if I can find it.

Mike that price £24 is even more than super8movieman's price after converting. Not to mention shipping to US will even be more.

Roger, this title is one of several LH series that is very often to show up. Just be patient you will get it in less than 6 months I believe

Thanks everyone for all your feedback on the film and I will just wait it out until one pops up for a reasonable price.
I have tit for tat and I wanted the film because it was the only direct sequel they made.

Hello Roger,

here is what I wrote on my émail:

I have a super 8 sound copy of the film.

It's in good condition but made with 2 differents copys:
the begin from Walton film, english with dutch subtitels.
Then, the rest is from another copy( I don't know what ), in english,
without subtitels.

If you're interested, I'll give you for free.

You just pay the shipping cost.

Shipping to USa is 14 euros ( with box, it's a white box, with no artwork
) or 9 euros ( without box).

let me know what.

Best regards,

JC.

Hello JC,

Thank you for your offer it's very generous and kind of you!
Mike Tynus had contacted me and had the print and he mailed it to me
for free if I just paid the shipping charges which I did and to my surprise he also included another film I was looking for!
I don't know Mike personally but he is a great guy and we are truly blessed to have him in the 8mm forum!
Mike if you read this you're the greatest & I hope I can return the favor someday!
Thanks again Mike & Thank you too JC!
