Thats the big question with ebay and sales. Home movies in general, no, maybe a few bucks. Home movies of an important event in history, who knows how high they can go!

People who used to work in Hollywood years ago would take home movies on the sets of films, and so this is why we have super 8 films of, for instance Marylin Monroe on the set of Niagra (that was a film offered on ebay, that is, the super 8 home movie footage) that sold for an incredibly high amount.

I saw that reel that sold on eBay - it looked impressive although had plenty of scratches so the seller did well. Even though you mentioned home movies, you might like to look out for the trailer to 'Woodstock' on Super 8, which is a nice print. It was an early 1980s Canterbury Films release.
