Another print pulled from my vault. High Society Derann release on low fade stock. Print quality on this is stunning. Bought from new direct from Derann.

With Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and Grace Kelly.

I have two prints both in excellent condition.

Price £280 each

Hi Nigel,
Although I can't vouch for the prints on offer here by Mr Clarke - I did by a print off him about 2 years ago and suffice to say - it wasn't as advertised and the whole experience left a bitter taste in my mouth - I have never bought from him again. This is just my experience of this dealer.

Lee/Flavo,

Both prints are on AGFA stock. No prints where made on Kodak stock being a late addition to the Derann catalogue when they switched film stocks.

Unless someone can correct me on this?

Both prints have been re-spooled on 2x1200ft reels. From memory there was not any boxed art work available when originally sold by Derann.

Again if someone can correct me on this then please let me know.

I have a Derann Feature print of High Society and I can vouch for it being a stunning print, very sharp with saturated colors, if a little on the blue side in some scenes. The problem I had with my print however was the sound quality, which as recieved from Derann was very poor. I ended up doing a stereo re-record which was for the most part very successful, even though the stripe quality was very poor on some reels and some sections of the film just would not re-record.

Often the way with Agfa prints Paul. (blue hue) Doesn't bother me though, Die Hard is very "blue" but still a superb watch on Stereo 8! I have one collector friend however who is very intolerant of the Agfa "blue hue" and much prefers the flawless Kodak LPP.
