That's not like you Paul. No later regrets perhaps?

Ps would have loved it myself if I lived in the States.

I have two copies Andrew, so no regrets here. [Smile]

Ah that's a relief Paul. I know you're not one for parting with any of your collection without future regrets so I was getting worried there for a moment! Lol [Wink]

Have you managed to view the video yet Paul?

May I ask why it is a "USA only" sale ? I havbe been frustrated in the past by "France only" and "UK only" sales (the UK seller, as I roprted it before, having been suprisingly rude).

I just don't want the bother of international money exchange and customs.

I just wish the full feature and "The Birds" had been made available on Super 8mm.

I also have Hitch's promo for The Birds where he is talking about our friendly relationship to birds, while eating chicken, and Tipi Hedren comes in screaming "They're coming" at the end.
The Birds is not one of my favourite Hitchcock's though, I though the whole story was a bit of a stretch.

Thank you for the explanation, Paul. I don't understand the trouble about currency possible troubles as payment to the US are made in dollars but I remember that there are customs formalities (and possible extra costs for the buyer). That doesn't give me clue, though why French or British sellers don't want to sell in other countries (let China and countries like that aside.)

Oh I quite like "the Birds" Paul, plus I thought the chemistry between the two of them really worked.

Whenever I have watched it in the last decade, I personally think it's held up really well as a classy movie from that era.

It is a little drawn out I grant you, but classy all the same IMHO.

Anyhow,I digress,back to topic...
who is going to claim this fantastic film from Paul first?

I agree about not selling overseas...if the sellers uses PayPal then they do the exchanges etc for the seller less a small fee.So it allows the other worldwide forum readers a go. [Smile]
I maybe not know the full extent of selling though?

Clinton, us forum members of decent reputation Always mark our payment as "gift". That way the seller gets the full amount while the buyer from oversees pays the extra as commission to PayPal.

There is no difference whatsoever when using this method of payment between taking a payment from a neighbour on the same street using PayPal or someone like Dominique some 4000+ miles away.

The only issue and hassles are those Paul mentions regarding Customs. However while there are decent sensible sellers like Alan Rik or Bob Pucci on here (to name but two), there are no hassles whatsoever apart from the waiting! [Wink] [Big Grin]

Yeah that all makes sense Paul....and fair enough as I wasn't trying to get at anyone [Smile] I think I was having an e-bay moment [Smile] - you know the moment....when there is a film you've always wanted!
Luckily I managed to get a super8 trailer of Psycho....just looking for the 400ft film....PLUS I got the 400ft Birds recently....GREAT STUFF [Smile] [Smile]
